Dr. Elizabeth McLaren
Hello!
I’m a developmental interventionist and early childhood special educator with 20+ years of experience and a passion for teaching both children and adults. My professional training is in the field of early childhood special education, and I hold my master’s and doctoral degrees in special education.
I’ve taught infants and preschoolers in childcare, Head Start, and public preschool.
I’ve taught aspiring and practicing early childhood special education teachers during my 12 years as a university professor.
I’ve supported public preschool and childcare teachers in professional development classes.
I’ve coached parents and caregivers as a developmental interventionist with First Steps.
You could say that I love helping others to learn and grow!
I’m also the mother of two young children so I know first-hand the joys and worries that come with parenting. I understand the power of working with an experienced and compassionate partner when you need support and new ideas.
